One of the last events of 2024 for the heritage vessels where they can sail up to Rowhedge from Batemans Tower at Brightlingsea and have a warm up with hot soup and a chat.

Organised by the Rowhedge Heritage Trust which was formed by an enthusiastic group of people keen to keep the village’s heritage alive after losing its last shipyard. This event marked the end of Rowhedge’s centuries-long dependency on the River Colne for fishing, shipbuilding and providing captains and crew for the great yachts of the 19th and 20th century.
