Its the 1st September and that means the start of the EHWB Native Oyster Season.

Following in the footsteps of the industries these working vessels were built for, we will be celebrating these different elements, starting with the Native Oyster Season.

Join us as we our Essex Heritage Work Boats join in with a variety of challenges including traditional hand dredging, pursuit races and even a Turkey Race !

We might even baptise our beautiful new Mersea Oyster Tendles by taking out Gipsy CK79, one of two remaining sailing oyster bumkins over the layings they would have worked. More details comimg soon.

Look out for a few challenges to take part in even without going out on the water…
