There has been a regular pilgrimage to our friends in Falmouth for a number of years now with JACK CK91 leading the way.
Falmouth Classics 2025 – 13th-15th June
Falmouth Classics features three days of enjoyable racing and a spectacular Parade of Classic Boats and the Small Classic Boat Parade. Since it began, in 1987, Falmouth Classics has steadily grown to be one of the largest Classic sailing events in the UK.
Falmouth is recognised as having some of the best sailing waters in the world in the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay. There are also many vantage points for spectators to view the events.
The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival takes place at the same time and over 65,000 visitors flock to Falmouth.
The Falmouth Classics will take place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June 2025
Three races are planned for the event, together with a splendid parade of all participating boats followed by a small boat parade (vessels 20’ and under). There will also be a rowing and sculling competition and a Classic Maritime Village.

Depending on entries there will be several classes which will start at five-minute intervals. Participating boats will cross a start line marked by a Committee Boat and an outer distance mark. The start line will probably require boats to start by sailing close hauled. Races will last approximately 2 hours. The finish, for each race, is likely to be off Trefusis Point. The courses chosen by the race officer will be dependent on wind direction and the tide, some courses may take vessels out into Falmouth Bay.
