As well as an amazing amount of racing from Bateman’s Tower there is a fabulous array of waterside events throughout the day, and there is some really exciting new events happening at this years Regatta here are just a few with more to be announced!

Rowhedge Has Talent

There will be a stage set up for all our budding young stars to come along and take part in a talent contest whether you can sing, dance, play an instrument, tell jokes, do magic etc why not sign up for this competition to see if you’ll be named the winner!

Rowhedge Soapbox Boat Race

So you’ve heard of the Red bull soapbox race well Rowhedge Regatta is hosting the soapbox BOAT race

Get your team together and build your land faring soapbox boat then chose your driver to race it down the wharf road avoiding the obstacles on the way to try and achieve the best time! Extra points for design and use of recycled materials and of course your pre-race performance at the top of the hill!

Make it fun, make it boat themed and above all make it sturdy!!

Model Boat Race

Return of the model boat race across the paddling pool but this time it’s bigger and better than before! With different classes for wind power and motorised! Again you must use recycled materials and it must be no bigger than a piece of A4 paper but this time you can either go for the yacht class using wind power whether you blow or waft your boat to victory that’s up to you!

Or if you’re a bit more tech savvy then enter the motorised class and add the addition of a motor to your homemade boat, whether you harvest a remote control motor from an old toy or use your Lego technics motor the choice is yours but your actual boat must be homemade.

Treasure Hunt

Grab a map follow the clues and collect your stamps to complete the hunt and claim your treasure!!

Ahhh me hearties get your pieces of eight!!
